Final Exhortations on Church Life and Closing Benediction

1 Thessalonians 5:12-28

5
Chapter 5
12 But we ask you, brothers, to know those who labor among you and lead you in the Lord and admonish you, 13 And to lead them far beyond exceedingly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. 14 But we exhort you, brothers: admonish the disorderly, comfort the faint-hearted, help the weak, be patient toward all. 15 See that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for everyone. 16 Always rejoice. 17 Pray unceasingly. 18 In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 But test all things; hold fast to the good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil. 23 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your spirit, soul, and body be kept entirely blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is the one who calls you, who also will do it. 25 Brothers, pray for us. 26 Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss. 27 I put you under oath by the Lord that this letter be read to all the brothers. 28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
